The Language of the Church

I was at a graduation this weekend, and at the beginning, there was a benediction where a priest said a little prayer to start the ceremony. At one point in the prayer he said, "We are grateful for our wonderful professors who stress 'cura personalis' or 'care of the person' in dealing with their students." Now, I'm not sure about this, but I don't think God needs anybody to translate Latin for Him.
